21 July 2010: Lessons Learned in rolling out a successful BlackBerry app – a presentation by Widality at BlackBerry DevCon

Widality has been chosen by RIM as a speaker at their prestigious annual developer and industry conference taking place in San Francisco in September 2010.

Widality's flagship BlackBerry service, momentem, is one of the most popular business apps on BlackBerry, and the Widality team have learned so much about what it takes to roll out a sophisticated app combined with a service to BlackBerry users in over 100 countries. Therefore it's no surprise that RIM has asked Widality's President, Terry Hughes, to share his experiences with a wide range of new and existing BlackBerry developers at the conference.

The presentation is entitled "COM10: A 10 Point Plan for rolling out a BlackBerry App" and RIM describes the session as follows:

Join Widality™, a software development company, for this presentation on their experiences with developing a BlackBerry® app for BlackBerry App World™. Creating the Momentem™ call tagging service for BlackBerry™ taught them many lessons about what it takes to roll out a sophisticated B2B application. Join them for a snapshot of their experiences with their 10 Point Plan for Success, including understanding the user group, incorporating a service element, designing the user experience for maximum effectiveness, monitoring usage and more.

The invite to present follows on from a very successful WES2010 for Widality, where they released two valuable white papers on the same subject; lessons learned and the importance of metrics and tracking. The full list of white papers can be accessed here.
